life drawing / observational studies
In 2024 and 2025, I used 10 days of annual leave to attend two 10-week courses at The Royal Drawing School: Drawing: Intimate Dramas of Mood and Colour and A Studio Room in Colour.
Wanting to develop my understanding of colour, observation and visual storytelling, I spent weekly sessions drawing from life, studying artists and experimenting with different techniques and materials. The courses continue to influence my approach to colour, composition and image-making across my design work.
