Boscombe High Street Flags

I was commissioned by Bournemouth Coastal Bid and BEAF Arts to design a series of flags for Boscombe High Street and the Sovereign Shopping Centre, to bring vibrancy and energy to the area. I wanted the designs to feel summery, joyful and full of movement. To inspire the flag designs, I began with collage, as it allowed me to work quickly and playfully. 

 

Originally planned as a short-term installation, the flags stayed up for over seven months, highlighting the lasting impact of expressive design in public space.
